The host of the podcast, the founder of #stop_ѕехтинг, Anastasia Dyakova, together with experts, will analyze difficult real situations in which parents find themselves and give answers to the most common questions, for example: what to do if you catch your child watching porn, how to talk to a daughter who communicates with a secret boyfriend on the Internet, whether it is possible to read children's correspondence on social networks and when to buy the first gadget. The podcast teaser is available at link, and the first series will be available on June 15.

According to the new Internet Watch Foundation report, newborns and young children are victims of the most brutal sexual violence on the Internet, and the amount of the most extreme material has doubled over the past two years. As children become more and more active on the Internet, they are more vulnerable to dating strangers and being abused online, even in their own bedrooms, and during a war, the number of threats only increases.

What can parents do to protect the child?

  1. Dinner without a gadget. This is a tradition of breakfast and/or dinner without gadgets and one day a week (for example, Sunday) offline. Of course, the rule should apply not only to children, but also to adults. This is the time when the family is not distracted by phones and tablets, but spends time exclusively together.
  2. A family agreement is a way to set special rules for the use of gadgets in the family in a playful way. Sign the "Family Agreement" with the child on the rules for using the Internet. Write down where you can use the gadget (outside the bathroom, for example, because children often take a lot of nude selfies there), how long you can use it, where you charge it (outside the bedroom), what time of the day and week we spend without gadgets at all (for example, from 21 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday). An example of such an agreement can be found at site.
  3. Conversations about the dangers of communicating with strangers online. It is important to teach the child that it is necessary to communicate online only with people he knows in real life. What to do if a stranger writes on social networks? It is better not to open this message. Will remove the ego. Configure the profile so that strangers cannot write to the child and leave comments. It is also possible to block the user or complain about him if he obsessively tries to establish contact with the child.
