Today, a number of obstetric departments in Donetsk region have either stopped their work or are in the process of closing. Therefore, the Pokrovsky perinatal center serves women in labor and mothers-to-be from the entire region.

During the war, the number of premature babies almost doubled. Probably, this is connected with stressful factors that our women experience, with the conditions in which they bear children.

Babies who were born before the 28th week of pregnancy have unopened lungs, so they need additional oxygen, special drugs and artificial ventilation devices.

Artificial lung ventilation is one of the most invasive methods of treating premature babies. Modern ventilators are able to adapt to the child's independent breathing and help him.

The editorial office of MR.ua joins the initiative of the BF "Muravey" and announces the opening of a collection for a ventilator for the Pokrovsky perinatal center.
