2 min. reading Free infertility treatment in Ukraine: list of medical institutions
As reported in Ministry of Health, increasing the number of Ukrainians is the main priority of our country, so infertility treatment is now included in the Medical Guarantee Program and will be financed by the state.In the budget for 2024, more than 1,87 billion hryvnias have been allocated for this purpose. These means will allow to carry out about 30 thousand cycles of infertility treatment. Given that the average success rate of treatment is about 30%, one can expect the birth of about 10 thousand new citizens of Ukraine.

Who can get the service?
In order to use the medical service under the package "Treatment of infertility with the help of auxiliary reproductive technologies", it is necessary to have an established diagnosis of "Female infertility" or "Male infertility". The age of the patient at the time of the start of the cycle should not be more than 40 years.

First, a woman should contact an obstetrician-gynecologist who has an agreement with the National Health Service for the package "Prevention, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment in outpatient settings". No direction is required for this. The doctor will conduct an examination, determine indications for IVF. After the examination, the doctor refers the patient to a multidisciplinary consultation or to a specialized institution, where decisions are made about the possibility of receiving services for the treatment of infertility and the absence of contraindications. The patient has the right to independently choose a facility for receiving services from the list of institutions that have concluded an agreement with the National Health Service for medical care for the appropriate package of medical services.
