Help for pregnant women

Pregnant women who are not insured in the system of mandatory state social insurance have the right to state assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. In order to receive such assistance, it is necessary to contact the entity providing administrative services with the appropriate package of documents. In wartime conditions, citizens can independently turn to the nearest branch of the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine for help.

Assistance with the birth of a child

Child benefit is provided to one of the parents, who gave birth to the child, to the guardian who permanently lives with the child, with the aim of creating appropriate conditions for his full maintenance. Assistance is assigned on the condition that the application for its appointment is received no later than 12 calendar months after the birth of the child.

Parents are obliged to register the child's birth with the state registry of civil status without delay, but no later than one month after the child's birth. Registration of a child's birth is confirmed by a birth certificate. During martial law, only a paper medical certificate of birth is required to register a child's birth.
