In these difficult times for the country, the government provides certain material assistance from the state for expectant mothers, large families, single mothers and families with newborn children.

Help for pregnant women

Pregnant women who are not insured in the system of mandatory state social insurance have the right to state assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. In order to receive such assistance, it is necessary to contact the entity providing administrative services with the appropriate package of documents. In wartime conditions, citizens can independently turn to the nearest branch of the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine for help.
Assistance with the birth of a child

Child benefit is provided to one of the parents, who gave birth to the child, to the guardian who permanently lives with the child, with the aim of creating appropriate conditions for his full maintenance. Assistance is assigned on the condition that the application for its appointment is received no later than 12 calendar months after the birth of the child.
Child registration

Parents are obliged to register the child's birth with the state registry of civil status without delay, but no later than one month after the child's birth. Registration of a child's birth is confirmed by a birth certificate. During martial law, only a paper medical certificate of birth is required to register a child's birth.
Monetary compensation of the baby box

Every family in which a child was born has the right to receive a one-time in-kind benefit "baby package". In the case of not receiving such assistance for reasons beyond the control of the parents, they can apply for monetary compensation for the cost of the baby box.
Helping single mothers

Single mothers who are not married, single adopters have the right to child support for single mothers, if there is no record of the father (mother) in the child's birth certificate or the child's birth document. To receive such assistance, you need to contact the social protection authority or the Center for the provision of administrative services with the necessary documents. In the conditions of martial law and within one month after its termination, the payment of aid does not stop, even if the recipient has missed the deadline for its review.
Assistance for children raised in large families

Monetary assistance is assigned to a family in the event of the birth of a third child or two or more children, as a result of which the family acquired the status of a large family. In order to apply for assistance, one of the parents must apply to the social protection authority of the population or the Center for the provision of administrative services.
Assistance to low-income families

State social assistance is assigned and paid to low-income families who permanently live on the territory of Ukraine and, for good reason or reasons beyond their control, have an average monthly total income of less than the subsistence minimum for a family. Such assistance is appointed for six months from the month of application for its purpose. In wartime conditions and within one month after its termination, the payment of aid does not stop, even if the recipient has missed the deadline for its review.
Temporary help for children whose parents avoid paying alimony

Children under the age of 18, whose parents avoid paying alimony, are unable to support the child, or whose place of residence (residence) is unknown, have the right to temporary state assistance. To obtain it, you need to apply to the social protection body or the Center for the provision of administrative services with the appropriate package of documents.
