We bring to your attention 6 products that can easily replace eggs in your baking. At the same time, replacing eggs in baking will give your dishes not only a new taste, but also make them more useful.

1. Applesauce

In most recipes, instead of one egg, you can use 1/4 cup (approximately 50-60 ml) of applesauce (without added sugar). Some sources say that it is better to mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. If all you have in the fridge is sweetened applesauce, then you should simply reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe.

2. Banana

Use 1/4 cup mashed banana (about half a whole banana) instead of one egg when baking. Banana will give baking its subtle taste and aroma.

3. Flax seeds

Believe it or not, flax seeds are not only a source of omega 3 fatty acids, but they can also be used as an egg substitute! Pour 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds with 3 tablespoons of water until a jelly-like mass is formed. Use instead of one egg. You can take pre-ground flaxseed or grind it immediately before cooking in a coffee grinder.

4. Vegetable oil

As a rule, 1/4 cup of butter can be substituted for one egg. Pay attention, if the recipe uses more than one egg, use the second ingredient, otherwise the pastry may turn out to be oily and very greasy.

5. Water, oil and baking powder

Whisk together 2 tablespoons of water, 1 teaspoon of butter (for example, corn or vegetable oil) and 2 teaspoons of baking powder. Use this mixture instead of one egg. This mixture is ideal for baking cookies.

6. Aquafaba

Aquafaba is a broth that remains after cooking legumes (for example, chickpeas). A whole egg cannot be replaced with aquafabo. Rather, it will be a complete substitute for only egg white. 3 tablespoons of unsalted broth will replace 1 egg white.
