June 5 marks World Environment Day. So that in the future children can breathe fresh air, drink clean water and walk in green forests, it is important for adults to tell them how to protect nature. Water is a priceless resource
70% of the Earth's surface consists of water, but there is very little fresh water. If the planet were the size of a school globe, there would not be enough drinking water for even one sip. In time, people will produce so many plastic bags that they can wrap our planet 7 times! Plastic bottles
Most bottles are not recycled, and they leave a trace in nature for hundreds of years. Over time, the bottles turn into small pieces of plastic that end up in soil, water, and animal bodies. Fortunately, we have an alternative.
Batteries and electrical appliances
One small battery can pollute the earth the size of a room, and electronics contain harmful substances: lead and mercury. If they are thrown into the normal garbage, these metals enter the air, water and soil. Therefore, it is important not to change equipment often and dispose of it correctly. Christmas trees are a treasure worth protecting
More than a million Christmas trees are cut down every year in Ukraine, most of them illegally. This harms nature and disrupts the forest ecosystem. To preserve the green environment, you should choose an alternative: an artificial Christmas tree or specially grown trees with a barcode.
Animals are not toys
There are more than a billion pets in the world, but many of them suffer from the indifference or cruelty of people. An animal is a responsibility: it needs to be treated, fed, walked and given daily attention, because it is a living creature that loves us more than anything in the world and trusts us unconditionally.
Birds are feathered friends who need help
There are 25 times more birds on the planet than people, almost half of them are migratory, others stay at home to winter. They really need support: make a feeder, feed them correctly and do not touch the chicks - this way you will help preserve the life of the birds.
