Decorate the Christmas tree with glass layers, if there is a small child in the house, it is dangerous. Of course it is possible. But you have to keep an eye on both the child and the Christmas tree... Or put it out of the children's reach, and then, excuse me, what's the thrill? Our options are Christmas crafts made of cardboard, cotton wool, cones, felt and natural materials! Follow the Christmas calendar and create your own unique collection of decorated Christmas trees!

What is the beauty of your handmade toys? First, you have a great time with your child, creating Christmas decorations. Secondly, you make something not only beautiful, but also safe, from environmentally friendly materials. Thirdly, you easily and casually create the very family heirlooms that your grandchildren will probably admire, because you will then put all these toys in a box and hide them.

They will not clutter up the apartment, gathering dust, but on the contrary, they will lie silently in the box and wait for their next star hour! In general, be inspired by our beauty, create your own and enjoy the imperfection of forms - here is the main point. After all, inside each toy is a little bit of your soul and the hard work of a child.

Help the child believe in magic - put a small greeting from Saint Nicholas or Santa on the windowsill (or in the pocket of your advent): a gift and a note "It's time to start decorating the house! I really want to see the beauty made by your hands!". Of course, such an idea will also produce an unforgettable effect: you blow up balloons, put them in a box from household appliances, and when the child wakes up and opens it, colorful balloons fly up. In the note, you can add: "I will help you today with the decor."

When choosing ideas for decoration, consider the age of the child: many will want to try small details and buttons, so start with the simplest paper decorations, and when you can already explain why buttons and beads should not be swallowed, use them for decoration.

ASSIGNMENT FOR PARENTS

When making decorations, do not criticize the child, understand that his fingers are not yet so dexterous (but now you are developing fine motor skills). But with creativity, the baby is definitely in order! Purple snow and an orange Christmas tree? Excellent. Take a closer look and you will see that this is often exactly what it looks like in the evening.

Say more often: "It was not easy, but you managed - you are so persistent!", "I am proud of you!", "I will help you!", "I believe in you!".

ASSIGNMENT FOR A CHILD

We offer several creative ideas for creating Christmas toys and Christmas decorations with your own hands together with your child! In advance, put some materials for creating such toys in the pocket of the advent calendar for today and invite the child to make your home festive!

Cardboard decoration

To create such safe and easy decorated Christmas trees, you will need:

  • kraft cardboard
  • jute rope, ribbons, colored paper, sequins
  • glue

All that is needed to begin with is to come up with a form for the future toy. These can be stars, little men, Christmas trees, and the like. First, cut a large star from kraft cardboard, and then a star of the same shape, but 2 times smaller, from bright colored paper. Glue a small star on cardboard, decorate it with sequins, ribbon bows or cones.

Then make a large loop of jute rope or thin rain and glue it to one of the spokes of the star. Your decoration is ready!

Decoration from cones

An equally beautiful and simple decoration for the Christmas tree can be made with a baby from pine cones!

For this you will need:

  • bumps
  • sequins, beads, felt balls
  • jute rope
  • glue

In any fabric and sewing accessories store, you can buy felt balls that you and your child will stick on cones. But if you could not find them, replace the balls with colored round beads or three-dimensional buttons.

Apply glue to each cone's scales from the inside and stick one felt ball or bead on it. When all the scales are decorated, leave the product to dry, and then make a loop from the jute thread and stick the cones on the stem. A beautiful Christmas decoration is ready!

Decoration from cinnamon sticks

But such fragrant Christmas trees can be made even with small children, and we promise that this activity will really captivate them!

For decoration you will need:

  • cinnamon sticks
  • colored buttons
  • jute rope
  • artificial (or natural) Christmas tree

Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to find pieces of an artificial Christmas tree for such a Christmas product, but that's okay. It can be replaced with a natural needle (then such a decoration will delight you until the end of January) or plant a green raindrop on a wire that will keep its shape.

You and your child need to glue the Christmas tree pieces to a cinnamon stick, and put colored buttons on top of the glue as a decoration for such a small Christmas tree. After that, glue the rope loop to the top of the toy and the aromatic decoration is ready!

You can give such a Christmas tree to dad as a car air freshener, and then the interior will smell pleasantly of cinnamon for another month!

Decoration from rods

In addition to Christmas tree toys, we suggest that you make such a beautiful Christmas tree with your child, which you can hang on the wall in the nursery, and collect the material for it on a day walk.

For decoration you will need:

  • wooden sticks
  • any small Christmas decorations, candies, paper snowflakes, a light garland
  • jute rope

During the day, go to the park with your child and collect wooden sticks of different sizes together. Place them on the table so that the top stick is the shortest, and the bottom one is the longest. Together they should look like a pyramid. Then take 2 pieces of rope of 1-1,5 m each and alternately tie the rods at a distance of 3-4 cm from each other on both sides. When the two ropes come to the top, tie them together.

Such a wooden Christmas tree can be decorated with a glowing garland on top, decorations made of candies, citrus peels and small New Year's toys!
