Pianist-virtuoso Yevgeny Khmara conducted music therapy for children

The other day, the "Superhero School" educational center in Boyarka hosted a concert, a real musical therapy for young patients and medical staff of the Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital, by virtuoso pianist Yevgeny Khmara. The visit took place within the framework of the charity project "Make a dream come true", which 1 1 media has been implementing since 2016.

"Musical therapy for children is formed in a completely different way every time for the children who are in the hall. When working with children, it is very important to feel their request. One thing is to perform in a shopping center, where they came to dance and have fun. The second thing is when children experience something that many adults do not experience in their entire lives. Living in hospitals, they become deeper, it makes them second. Therefore, it turns out that these children are more mature than some adult people", - comments Yevgeny Khmara.

During the event, children had the opportunity to listen to live instrumental music, join in various activities, and also personally play the keyboard with Yevgeny.

"Today it was very important that the children were really in the moment, they were not sitting on their phones, but wanted to interact. I am very happy that instrumental music can work as therapy for them, healing and fulfilling. What was done today in the "School of Superheroes", what happens at my concerts for the military or at commercial events, it seems to me that this is the light that awakens", — notes the virtuoso pianist.

Also, the 1 1 media team handed over thematic gifts from PLUS TV channel and partners to the students of the educational center. A similar gift set was sent to the Kharkiv office of the state institution.
