New winter musical location: where to go in Kyiv in December and January

The UYAVA art space has closed a powerful summer-autumn season and is starting the winter season at a new location and with a new name. Henceforth UYAVA is V'YAVA.

The space team did not want to change something globally, but sought to dig deeper and find a more authentic name for the project. And the idea appeared to use a literary version of the word "imagination" - the long-forgotten and authentic "imagination".

Before the start of the winter season, the team reported on its fruitful work in such a difficult time for the country.

The cozy location at VDNKh was open for citizens and guests of the capital from May 26 to October 15. A total of 70 concerts were held at UYAVA. In particular, 9 foreign artists performed.

Despite difficult weather conditions, the UYAVA team and invited artists gave vivid memories to more than 100 visitors from different parts of Ukraine and even the world.

But the most important thing is that with joint efforts from May 26 to October 15, UAH 2 was collected in the art space for the needs of the National Guard, the 355rd separate assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the UNITED965 initiative, and displaced children. In particular, the funds went to:

• UAH 492 — for the repair of two cars for 632 OSHBr;
• UAH 343 — to the UNITED115 fund thanks to the performances of foreign artists;
• UAH 247 — for a DJI Mavic 035T quadcopter for 3 OSHBrs;
• UAH 229 — for two DJI Mavic 998 Fly More Combo quadcopters for 3 OSHBr;
• UAH 222 — for the DJI Mavic 320T quadcopter of the second mechanized battalion of the A3 military unit;
• UAH 170 — for a Trijicon optical sight for 000 OSHBrs;
• UAH 144 — for an optical sight for 800 OSHBr;
• UAH 131 — for the DJI Mavic 000E Enterprise quadcopter for 3 OSHBrs;
• UAH 127 — for a pickup truck for an anti-tank platoon, 315th battalion of operational assignment 4 of the National Guard;
• UAH 93 — for 760 kg of Antifreeze G251-12 coolant for 40 OSHBrs;
• 83 UAH — for a DJI Mavic 990 Pro with DJI RC quadcopter for the 3rd OSHBr;
• UAH 70 — for the organization of a children's holiday for Children's Protection Day for the "Dream Live" fund.

The new musical space from V'YAVA will not leave its purpose and throughout the season will collect for the needs of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the United24 initiative and the National Guard.

The winter location of V'YAVA will be located at Mechnikova Street, 3. The new musical project will be chamber music with high-quality sound and professional lighting. Visitors can expect atmospheric solo live concerts, jazz evenings and electronic foreign performers.

The opening of V'YAVA on Mechnikova Street 3 is scheduled for December 8, 9 and 10. The space team has prepared a rich line-up for the music space.

At the opening of V'YAVA, Riapoboy, "Druha Rika" and a secret guest will perform, who will definitely not leave anyone indifferent.

• On December 8, the independent Ukrainian author-performer Dmitry Shurov will play in the art space with his project Riapoboy, who is among the twenty Ukrainian artists most rotated on the radio. Riapoboy is an example of world-class modern Ukrainian music, an indicator of taste or "mainstream of a healthy person".
• December 9 — SMAILOV, AIDENTIQUE, RUNOV, ASIKA
• On December 10, one of the most famous Ukrainian rock groups "Druha Rika" led by frontman Valery Kharchyshyn will perform at the location. The real rock and roll drive allows the band to maintain the status of one of the most successful collectives in our country for more than 20 years.
