Why is it good for children to walk barefoot on the sand: the podologist's answer

Warm, clean sand, bare feet and complete freedom — that's the happiness of any child! But it turns out that it is also very useful for children's feet.

Walking barefoot on the sand is the best exercise that nature has come up with.
First, the joints nothing prevents the feet, and they can move freely.
Second, the in order to adapt to the viscous surface, the muscles have to work actively. And this leads to an increase in their strength, which will help to keep the foot in the right position in the future.

Third, our the foot is very lacking in signals from the environment: what kind of surface is soft or hard, what relief it has, what temperature. Why is there not enough? Because we have been accustomed to wearing shoes since childhood and live in the city. And if there are not enough signals from the foot, the brain becomes "lazy" and learns to control the foot and steps.
Fourth, it is the sole receptors (baroreceptors) that give the correct adjustment of the whole body to the crown itself. They transmit information to the nervous system, how to hold the spine, in what position to hold the joint, what muscles to contract. And if the information is limited, the brain begins to figure out how to position the body, and it makes mistakes more and more often.

But, of course, it is important not to forget about precautionary measures
- make sure that there are no window panes or other sharp objects in the sand
- choose places where animals do not walk;
- do not walk barefoot on the sand if you have recently had a foot injury or have wounds on your feet.
The ideal place for walking on the sand is, of course, a beach on the sea. But in many yards there is often clean sand brought for children, where you want to throw off your shoes and run around, like in childhood!
