Democratic school: the right to choose and trust each student

The term "democracy" literally means the power of the people. Today, democracy is an opportunity for everyone to solve important issues that concern them. This is the most reliable way to protect various values, traditions and views by providing freedom to individuals and institutions.
Democracy can be learned only in the environment in which it exists. Thus, democratic schools are a key element for the establishment of a free democratic society. Here, the individual learning approach, focused on each student, is dominant. In a democratic school, they strive to provide all the basic needs of the student in education and development, while taking into account their wishes and giving them the right to choose.
In a democratic school, students feel that they are trusted and fear of rules is replaced by responsibility. Giving students the right to choose academic disciplines and teaching methods in accordance with their abilities and capabilities makes the educational process at school easy, interesting and highly effective.
It is important to understand that modern society requires radically new people who know how to set goals and confidently go towards them. They defend their rights, understand their needs well, and at the same time work faithfully and professionally in a team for a common goal.
You can be convinced of the necessity and effectiveness of the new modern education by visiting a democratic school for one day. The school staff creates the most comfortable conditions for all participants of the educational process.
A day in a democratic school is:
- A morning that begins with a circle of friends and the choice of academic disciplines.
- Academic and other disciplines with modern approaches and teaching methods.
- Breaks during which you can catch up with friends and relax.
- Full nutrition throughout the day.
- Skill training with the support of tutors instead of tedious homework.
- An objective and loyal evaluation system.
- Creative activities.
- Walks in the open air.
- Time for games, which can be spent with friends, doing what you love.
- A friendly team, where instead of teachers, in the classical sense of the word, there are mentors, assistants who have the time and desire to pay attention to everyone.
- The opportunity to develop creatively, find new hobbies.
A democratic school is a safe and comfortable place where students are trusted and allowed to take responsibility for their education, development and upbringing.
Here, employees help, not manage. They try to teach in the broadest sense of the word, but do not call themselves "teachers", because they understand that children learn from each other much more when they play, explore, work and communicate together.
Today, the democratic approach to education is becoming more and more popular among parents who care about the healthy psychological development of a child. That is why even in online school or with independent distance learning (external form) the student's comfort is on the first plan and conditions are created in which learning will be a joy and pleasure.
Democratic schools recognize that each person's education is unique and personal. Imagine a school so that children and young people know about all the rights and responsibilities of democratic citizenship, so that they get freedom of thought, freedom of association and freedom of choice of activities they will engage in, not only from what they read, but from real practice. Is there a better education for preparing a new progressive citizen of a free and successful country.
