The mental health of adolescents is an important component of their harmonious development. In the modern world, stress, social networks and high demands can affect the emotional state of young people. It is important to be able to recognize your feelings, accept them and allow yourself to be happy. In this article, we will look at why listening to your emotions is useful, how to maintain inner balance and what helps to maintain a positive mood in adolescence.

Recently, the whole world celebrated International Adolescent Mental Health Day - a day that reminds us of the importance of emotional balance and self-support in today's world. Adolescence is a time of self-discovery, when the pressures of society, social media, and our own expectations can be a real challenge.

Within the framework of this day, VLADA K, together with BRICKTOPIA, is launching a special initiative that reminds us of the importance of connecting with our inner child. Caring for mental health begins with respecting our feelings, being able to enjoy simple things, and maintaining sincerity regardless of age.

What helps you maintain inner balance when there is so much stress and instability around you?

I have learned not to keep everything to myself. When something is bothering me, it is important to find a way to release it - through music, sports, communication with loved ones or even just the opportunity to be alone with your thoughts. It is important to give yourself time to rest and not demand that you be productive 24/7. It also helps to understand that not everything in life depends on us, and sometimes the best thing to do is to accept the situation, focus on yourself and your development.

How does music and creativity affect your emotional state? Would you say it's your therapy?

Music is my biggest support and a way to express myself. It can definitely be called therapy, because when I write songs or sing, I experience all my feelings, and not hide them deeper inside. Through creativity, you can give vent to joy, pain, and even anger - just turn these emotions into something special. It is very important for me to know that my music can resonate with other people, help them experience similar moments, give a sense of support.

What does “self-care” mean to you? What rituals or habits help you stay resourceful?

Taking care of yourself is not only about taking care of your appearance, it is primarily about your inner state and respecting your needs. For me, it is about a balance between activity and rest. I try to regularly find time for myself: listening to my favorite music, drawing, walking in nature, or simply turning off my phone and staying in silence. It is very important not to ignore my feelings - if I feel tired or emotionally exhausted, I do not try to "endure" it, but allow myself a pause. This is real care - being able to hear yourself and respond to your needs.

Have you ever felt pressured by societal expectations or your public image? How do you learn to set personal boundaries?

Yes, it's an inevitable part of being in the public eye. People may expect you to conform to certain standards or impose their opinion on how you should be. But I've learned that it's impossible to please everyone, and that's okay. My main rule is to listen to myself. If I feel like something is beyond my comfort zone, I'm not afraid to say "no." Learning to set personal boundaries is very important, because without it, it's easy to get lost in other people's expectations and forget about your own desires and values.

Teenagers are often afraid to talk about their emotions or seek help. How can they overcome this fear and not be ashamed of their experiences?

I understand this fear, because sometimes it seems that if you talk about your experiences, you may not be understood or taken seriously. But in reality, all people experience difficulties from time to time, it's just that not everyone talks about it. It's very important to find those you trust - it can be friends, family, or even a psychologist. You don't need to be afraid to show your emotions, because they are a part of us, and hiding them will only create even more internal discomfort.

Why is it important to keep the "child" inside you?

The childish part of us is about sincerity, freedom, the ability to enjoy the little things. In the modern world, we often try to be serious, to meet other people's expectations, but this does not mean that we should forget about lightness, dreaminess and interest in life. This is exactly what our collaboration with the BRICKTOPIA brand is about - through it we want to remind you that taking care of your mental health begins with respecting your feelings and emotions. This is a reminder that regardless of age, everyone has the right to play, to creativity, to moments of sincere joy.
