Choosing a name for a child is an important and responsible decision that often raises many questions and reflections. Double names are not very common in our culture, but this option can sometimes help parents choose an original name for their child.
So, in what case should you choose a double name for your child, or rather, 2 names? First of all, if you yourself want it, because naming a child like that is quite unusual and original. Since, unlike Western countries, double names are unconventional, there are no rules for combining them as such - you can come up with anything you want, and the registry office is obliged to record your option in the documents.

- If mom and dad can't decide and find a compromise, for example, dad wants to name his son his own name, and mom chose a completely different one.
- You plan to listen to someone significant to you. For example, singer Gaitana named her daughter Nicole, and her Congolese father suggested giving the girl the middle name Sapphire.
- In the case when you want to give your child a choice in the future, what to call themselves and how to introduce themselves to others when meeting them.
- However, when choosing two names, be sure to listen to how they sound together, and say the names with different intonations, as if you were addressing a child.
- Don't forget about the middle name - this part of the name is mandatory for us - how each of the names will be combined with the middle name and surname, as well as both names together.
