Baking recipes for toddlers
BANANA CAKE
Banana cake is easy to make and rises very well, so everyone usually gets it right the first time! If you have a few bananas with blackened skin left over and can't bring yourself to throw them away, this recipe is for you!
Ingredients:
- 2-3 ripe bananas
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 ml of vegetable oil
- 200 g flour
- 3 eggs
- 10 g of baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- Mash the bananas with a fork until smooth, add sugar, oil, eggs and mix well.
- Add baking powder to the flour, then pour in the liquid banana mixture and mix until smooth.
- Grease a baking dish with oil, pour the dough into it, sprinkle cinnamon on top and spread it over the surface with a sharp knife. Then the cupcake will have a delicious and aromatic crust.
- Bake the banana muffin for 45 minutes until cooked. Pierce it with a toothpick, if it comes out dry – the dish is ready!
- Cool the cake and serve!
The main thing is not to put a whole banana inside the cupcake batter, otherwise it will be wet and may not bake well. You can add chopped nuts for taste.
APPLE CINNAMON CUPBOARDS
To get children interested in dessert, you can experiment and bake them not in a muffin tin, but, for example, in a silicone waffle tin!
Ingredients for 4 pieces:
- 140 ml yogurt
- 25 g of vegetable oil
- 100 g flour
- 1 egg
- 40 g sugar or other sweetener (honey is also possible)
- 1 large apple
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 h. l of soda
- 1/2 h. l of lemon juice

Preparation:
- Beat the egg with kefir, add oil, cinnamon and sugar.
- Sift the flour into this mixture and mix well. Quench the baking soda with lemon juice and add to the dough.
- Peel the apples and cut them into very small cubes.
- Pour the batter into each mold halfway, then arrange the apples and top with the batter. Do not fill the molds to the brim with batter as it will expand!
- Bake the cupcakes for 25 minutes at 180 °C.
DRIED FRUIT CAKE
Ingredients:
- 250 g of dried fruit
- 100 g flour (rice flour is also possible)
- fruit puree (you can use banana, apple, pear, or mix different ones)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- cinnamon – to taste

Preparation:
- Make a raw puree. Finely chop the dried fruits separately. If your child doesn't like dried apricots, replace them with dried bananas or dates.
- Mix the dried fruit with the puree, add cinnamon, flour and baking powder. Mix well.
- You should have a thick dough, which you need to pour into molds and bake for 30 minutes at 180 °C.
FILLING PIE
This simple but delicious pie is prepared as quickly as it disappears from the table! You can make it with any filling, both meat and vegetable. It turns out very tasty if you add boiled chicken to the filling.
Ingredients:
- 180 g yogurt
- 180 g sour cream (can be replaced with thick kefir, cottage cheese or homemade yogurt)
- 20 g cream sauce (can be replaced with sour cream)
- 2 raw eggs
- 3 boiled eggs
- 1,5 cups flour (you may need a little more or less)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 teaspoons of soda
- 100 g butter
- greenery

Preparation:
- Boil 3 eggs and let them cool. Peel them and chop them finely.
- Melt the butter, add green onions or other herbs, mix and add the chopped eggs. Season with pepper and salt. The filling is ready!
For the dough:
- Mix all the ingredients except the baking soda and flour until smooth, mix well. Then add the baking soda and flour. The consistency should be like thick sour cream.
- There is no need to beat the dough, just mix well enough so that the mixture is homogeneous.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pour a little less than half of the batter into the bottom. Spread the filling in an even layer on top, then cover with the remaining batter.
- Preheat the oven and bake the pie until golden brown for about 40 minutes at 180°C.
